They are caused due to expanding or contracting of the skin beyond the power of the flexibility of the skin which is usually associated with weight changes or growth. They may also be influenced by the changes in the hormones which are caused because of bodybuilding, puberty, pregnancy, etc. Stretch marks can occur on belly, hips, lower back, thighs, breasts or buttocks. Apart from these places, they usually appear in those parts of the body which have excessive amount of fat stored in them. 10. SCRUB RAW SUGAR
White sugar is often used to reduce stretch marks. Sugar has the property to exfoliate the skin and thus the scars are lightened and so are the stretch marks as the dead skin is removed. A paste should be made which have to be applied over the affected area for about a month or more for at least 10 to 15 minutes before taking the shower, in order to remove stretch marks. The paste which is rubbed on the skin can either be made by mixing one tablespoon of sugar with little amount of almond oil and one small spoon of lemon juice or by mixing sugar, olive oil and whole milk, all in equal proportions.
